About SystemWatch

SystemWatch is made by CherryWave LLC, a small independent software company. We build native Mac apps in Swift, and SystemWatch is the system monitor we wanted for our own Macs: one that explains what's going on in plain words instead of showing raw numbers.

How we write the guides and process pages

Every guide and every page in the macOS process library is written for people who aren't engineers. Before a page goes up, we check its steps, menu names and keyboard shortcuts on a Mac running the current version of macOS, and we say so plainly when Apple doesn't document something. When macOS changes, we update the pages and their dates.

The explanations in the process library are the same ones SystemWatch shows inside the app, so what you read here matches what you'll see on your Mac.

What SystemWatch does with your data

SystemWatch's history stays on your Mac. AI features only run when you use them: the website edition sends app names and numbers to the AI provider you choose, with your own key. The details are in our privacy policy.
